C-GCC’s College-in-the-High School Program Honors Local Students

HUDSON, N.Y. – In the first celebration of its kind, nearly 70 local high school students were honored this month for outstanding academic performance while taking college-level courses, through Columbia-Greene Community College’s College-in-the-High School program.

Sixty-eight students were awarded certificates of excellence for maintaining at least a 3.25 grade-point-average while taking six credits or more. Ten high schools were represented: Cairo-Durham High School, Catskill Senior High School, Chatham High School, Coxsackie-Athens High School, Hudson High School, Hunter-Tannersville High School, Ichabod Crane High School, New Lebanon Junior-Senior High School, Taconic Hills High School, and Windham-Ashland-Jewett Central School in Windham.

The following students were recognized:

Kimberly Cammarata, Sarah Dauphin, Alexandra Del Vecchio, Myia Hulbert, Gabriella Nemeth, Ashley Pinelli, Brenna Rustick, and Coleen Selner, all Cairo-Durham.

Abdul Asif, Megan Davies, Xavier Evans, Arley Liberti, Andrew Macholdt, Quincie Moe, Alexis O’Connell, Jack Osborn and Abigail Pacheco, all Catskill.

Amanda Booy and Destiny Hull, both Chatham.

Olivia Baxter, Donald Blowers, Emily Boehm, Hanna Boehm, Olivia Bradt, Lucas Bruce, Laurren Collum, Abigail Draiss, Frank Fandozzi, Olivia Grecco, Christine Jackson, Alissa Jewett, Kacy Kiefer, Erin Marafioti, Taylor Miller, Giovanna Natalie, Emily Nazi, Brianna Osborn, Madeline Osborn, Sophia Saccoccie, Kaylee Sawicki, Sean Sewak, Kelsey VanVechten, Hannah Warner and Nicole Weidel, all Coxsackie-Athens.
