MIDDLEBURGH - The Middleburgh Central School Backpack Program received a big boost from three local organizations last month.
The organizations donated $2,365 to the program, which aids needy students with food and other supplies to bring home.
Donating to the program were:
* Middleburgh Rotary (from the arts and crafts festival), $546.
* Middleburgh Rotary, $546.
* Fenimore Asset Management, $1,000.
* Middleburgh Rotary (arts and crafts festival), $173.
* Golden Age Club, $100.
In other action, board members last month:
* Appointed Michelle Mattice as a support staff substitute.
* Accepted an unpaid leave of absence for McKenzie Rivenburgh from November 20 to April 25, 2024.
