DELAWARE LEAGUE – Gilboa, Margaretville and South Kortright all picked up league wins in hoop action last Wednesday, while Jefferson/Stamford fell to non-league Cherry Valley Springfield and on Friday, Margaretville, Charlotte Valley and South Kortright all picked up league wins, as two of the league undefeateds were set to meet on Tuesday. That game was postponed due to weather. All three are tied at 3-0, with Gilboa at 3-1 in league standings.
Gilboa defeated Hunter-Tannersville 40-21 last Wednesday. Cody Ciaravino led the win with 14 points and 14 rebounds. H-T was led by Grady Glennon's 12 points, 10 rebounds and five steals.
Margaretville defeated Windham 79-43 on Jan. 10. Connor Wayman led the way with a 24-point night and teammates Hunter Balcom and Ryan Sanford chimed in another 15 and 14 points, respectively. Eli Cicerone led Windham with 15 points on the night.
South Kortright toppled Roxbury 71-41 on Jan. 10. Connor Quarino dumped in 40 points to lead the win and Boston Quarino chipped in nine points. For Roxbury, Mason Hamil scored 10 points and teammate Taran Davis added nine points and seven rebounds.
In a non-league game Walton/Downsville defeated Harpursville 60-27.
Margaretville defeated Jefferson/Stamford 48-27 on Friday. Eli Bullock led scoring as he posted 23 points on the night and teammate Connor Wayman chipped in an additional 10 points in double figures. Henry Cole and Pat Terk led J/S with nine points each.
Charlotte Valley picked up a 68-34 victory over Gilboa last Friday. Trevor Waid keyed the win with 10 points and 11 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals. Teammate Ezra Ontl added 19 points to the win. For Gilboa, Cody Ciaravino and Myles Uhalde scored 11 points each.
South Kortright picked up a 66-26 win over Hunter-Tannersville in last Friday's action. Connor Quarino scored the game high of 26 points and Boston Quarino chimed in another nine points. For H-T, Grady Glennon had nine points, eight rebounds and three assists.
