On Sunday January 21, 2024 at approximately 6:15 pm, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call for a domestic dispute on King Hill Road, Town of Greenville. The female caller, age 32, reported that she had been shot. Upon arrival, Deputies located the victim outside the residence suffering from a gun-shot wound to her pelvic area. They applied a tourniquet and carried her to a patrol car for transport to a landing zone. The victim was turned over to the care of Greene County EMS and LifeNet to be flown to Albany Medical Center. Law enforcement secured the scene and took the suspect, Sean Davis, age 63, into custody without further incident.
Davis has been charged with: Attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree (Class A-1 Felony); Assault in the 1st Degree (Class B Felony); and Criminal Use of a Firearm in the 1st Degree (Class B Felony). Davis was arraigned in the Town of Coxsackie Court before Judge Dorpfeld and remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail.
The victim underwent emergency surgery and is currently in stable condition.
The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are possible.
