Davenport Man Facing Charges Following Order of Protection Violation

DAVENPORT — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced that a Davenport man is facing the charge of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree, following an Order of Protection Violation incident, which occurred in the Town of Davenport. 

On August 14th, 2024, Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an Order of Protection Violation incident at the Charlotte Creek Mobile Home Park in the Town of Davenport. During the investigation, Deputies were able to identify the suspect as 54-year-old Stephen T. Kiss of Davenport, New York. Preliminary investigation by Deputies revealed that the victim had been harassed by Kiss while an order of protection was in place by the Town of Davenport Court, ordering Kiss to not have any contact with the victim.

On August 19th Deputies were able to locate Kiss, Deputies subsequently arrested and charged Kiss with one count of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree a class E Felony and one count of Harassment in the Second Degree a Violation. Kiss was held at the Delaware County Correctional Facility to await centralized arraignment.
