Charlotte Valley Girls Pick Up Key Wins

DELAWARE LEAGUE –  Charlotte Valley defeated Hunter-Tannersville 33-29 last Wednesday in a key league game. Ella Gerster led a balanced scoring effort with 10 points and 14 rebounds, while teammate Brinlee Wright added nine points and Claire Clark chimed in eight more. Saleema Poladian led H-T scoring with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Julia Legg chimed in with nine points.

Charlotte Valley then went on to defeat Stamford/Jefferson 37-30 in a non-league clash last Thursday. Brinlee Wright led the way with 15 points and Ella Gerster and Natalie Amadon chimed in seven points each for a key victory. McKenna Hoyt led Stamford/Jefferson with a game high 16 points and 11 rebounds.

South Kortright picked up its second league win of the season, defeating Gilboa/Roxbury 51-16 last Thursday. Addy Ekert led the way with 18 points and six rebounds, Lexi Hendrickson added 12 points, all four baskets from three-point land and Madysen Reeves added seven points and eight steals and Nora Trimbell added seven points. Roxbury/Gilboa got  six points from Caitlyn Ciaravino. Non-league Middleburgh defeated Margaretville 26-20 last Thursday. McKenzie Hubbell led Margaretville with 11 points.

Hunter-Tannersville defeated non-league Germantown 53-15 last Thursday. Saleema Poladian scored 20 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the cause, while Julia Legg chimed in with 12 points and Emma Constable added 11 points and pulled down 12 boards.

Schenevus defeated Gilboa/Roxbury 40-21 in a non-league game last Saturday. Kendra Balcom led GRC scoring in the Coaches vs. Cancer benefit with nine points andCaitlyn Ciaravino added six points.

Gilboa/Roxbury defeated Margaretville 54-44 in a non-league game on Tuesday. Caitlyn Ciaravino led the way with 14 points, 13 rebounds and six blocked shots. Mikayla Wright chimed in another 13 points and 12 rebounds. For Margaretville, Maria Golberg scored the game high of 20 points, including a trio of three-pointers.

Charlotte Valley defeated non-league Cairo-Durham 54-27 on Tuesday. Ella Gerster led the way with 25 points and 12 rebounds, while teammate Brinlee Wright added 9 points and six rebounds. Abby Vroman also contributed eight points and six rebounds.
