ANDES — Sheriff Craig DuMond announced the arrest of a Delhi man for driving with a revoked license and an Andes woman on drug charges.
On January 20, 2025, Sheriff’s Deputies, while on patrol in the Town of Andes, observed a vehicle being operated on State Highway 28, traveling at a very slow rate of speed, missing a headlight and crossing the double yellow line.
Upon conducting a traffic stop, Deputies identified the operator as 38-year-old Casey Manwarren of Delhi. Following an inquiry with the NYS DMV, Deputies determined that Manwarren’s privileges to operate a motor vehicle in NYS had been revoked and that a passenger in the vehicle, 47-year-old Jodi Alvarez had an active arrest warrant from NYSP Oneonta.
Upon further investigation, and a search of their persons and the vehicle, Deputies located a quantity of Fentanyl, scales and packaging materials.
As a result of the search, Deputies arrested Casey Manwarren for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 2nd degree, an unclassified misdemeanor, and issued traffic summons of unlicensed operator, inadequate headlamps, and failure to keep right.
Casey Manwarren was released on appearance tickets and traffic summonses and was directed to appear in the Town of Andes Court at a later date.
Jodi Alvarez was also arrested on an active arrest warrant from NYSP Oneonta. Jodi was turned over to NYSP Margaretville at the time of the traffic stop.
On February 4, 2025, Jodi Alvarez was arrested and charged on with Criminal Possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree (A narcotic with intent to sell), a class B Felony, Tampering with physical Evidence, a Class E Felony, and 2 counts of Criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, class A misdemeanors. In regard to the narcotics located in the vehicle.
Alvarez was processed and turned over to the Delaware County Correctional Facility for Centralized arraignment following her arrest.
