Delhi - Delaware County Sheriff Craig S. DuMond was officially sworn in this morning following his re-election to a third term as Sheriff.
The oath of office was administered by Delaware County Court Judge John Hubbard during a ceremony attended by county officials, law enforcement personnel, family members, and community supporters. Sheriff DuMond, who has served the residents of Delaware County with dedication and integrity throughout his tenure, expressed gratitude for the continued trust placed in him by voters. “I am deeply honored by the confidence the people of Delaware County have shown in me once again,” said Sheriff DuMond. “It is a privilege to serve this county, and I remain committed to upholding the law, ensuring public safety, and supporting the dedicated men and women of the Sheriff’s Office.”
Judge John Hubbard congratulated Sheriff DuMond on his re-election and administered the oath, formally beginning the Sheriff’s third term in office.
During his previous terms, Sheriff DuMond has focused on community-based policing, professional development within the Sheriff’s Office, and strengthening partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies. He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing these efforts in the years ahead.
