CONESVILLE — On January 2 the Conesville Town Board laid the groundwork for the upcoming calendar year. During this session, the board voted on more than 30 resolutions relating to town operations and personnel appointments. Among the approved resolutions were the following items:
Town Appointments for 2024:
● Judy Brandow was re-appointed as Town Hall Custodian.
● Kimberly Young was re-appointed as Town Historian.
● Jennifer Sutton was re-appointed as Dog Control Officer.
● Jamie Durkin was re-appointed as Co-op Camp Director.
● Michael West was re-appointed as Town Attorney.
● Jeffrey Laban was re-appointed as West Conesville Water District Superintendent.
Administrative Resolutions:
● The hourly wage for recycle attendants for 2024 was set at $15.00 per hour, payable monthly.
● The mileage rate for 2024 was established at $0.67 per mile for Town officials or employees using their personal vehicles for town business.
● Town Supervisor Bill Federice was authorized to pay various invoices, including electric bills, telephone, insurance, retirement, grass mowing, and fuel.
● The Board adopted several policies, including Investment, Grievance, Harassment, CDL, Drug-Free Workplace, Procurement, Highway, Health, Ethics, Sexual Harassment, Privilege of the Floor, and Meeting Streaming and Recording Policies.
Other Significant Resolutions:
● Councilman Losito was appointed as an added signatory on Town Accounts in the absence of Bill Federice.
● The Dog Control Officer was authorized to transfer the holding of dogs to the Schoharie Valley Animal Shelter at Howes Cave, NY.
● The 2024 West Conesville Sewer District user fee was set at $104.60 annually.
● The 2024 West Conesville Water District user fee was established at $412.00 annually.
