Tanisha Edge of Cementon, N.Y., has been named Region III Athlete of the Week by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
This marks the fifth such honor for Edge, who also earned the honor of Mountain Valley Conference's Player of the Year last season. She was recognized for her performance in a in November, including a match-up against Sullivan-CCC, in which she finished just shy of a double-double with 20 points and nine assists -- plus three rebounds and three steals in the Twins' victory.
Edge went on to record a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds in the team's victory over Schenectady-CCC in the same week; she also recorded seven assists, three steals, and two blocks in the game.
