Opinion: Supporting the Hunter Branch Rail Trail

The Hunter Branch Rail Trail is a forward-thinking project that advances many community and state plan objectives when it comes to outdoor recreation. It will help disperse visitors offering another recreational outlet, it will boost recreational tourism which our counties rely upon, and it will allow those with physical challenges to enjoy the outdoors and serenity this segment of the Hunter trail network provides. Moreover, constructing the trail to be accessible for people with disabilities is certainly a complementary tribute to what Camp Jened stood for – enabling people with disabilities to experience the great outdoors like anyone else.
