Permaculture is the harmonious integration of landscape and people to meet their food, energy, material, and non-material needs in a sustainable way. In other words, permaculture is a holistic practice as well as a technical approach for how to design your garden for self-sufficiency. Join our CCE Agriculture and Horticulture Intern, Becca Leone on April 21st at noon for a workshop on permaculture. Her presentation will include principles of permaculture, site planning, self-sufficiency, and urban permaculture. The workshop will be provided over zoom and will include an at-home activity to show the advantages of redesigning your garden to fit within the scope of permaculture. Be prepared to dive into all the facets of this exciting land management practice to better help yourself, your family, and the environment.
