Livestock Foundation Bovina Bicentennial Concert

Written By Editor on 7/26/22 | 7/26/22

The Bovina Bicentennial is this Saturday! Read all about the weekend's events at BovinaNY.org.

Livestock Foundation is hosting a FREE concert after the Bicentennial festivities on Saturday, July 30 at Chico's Barn at Livestock HQ (124 Bob Hall Rd, Bovina, NY 13740) featuring local favorites College Farm and Pispoure. No cover. BYOB. Doors open at 7 pmmusic starts at 8 pm.

College Farm is a neo-regionalist folk rock fury from northwest Appalachia. Andy and Matt's dad took a job at the agricultural state school, Delhi, in the 1960s which brought a magical Bovina boyhood. Josh and Chris Dukes joined the ensemble sometime around 1992. Andy and Matt are on guitar, Josh plays bass, and Dukes mans the drum kit while the entire quartet sings.

Pispoure is a local group of Bovina Musicians featuring Harlo Bray, Ed Denison, John Chico Finn and Ira McIntosh.  These guys started playing together on 2001, where they honed their chops at Ed’s chicken shack on Russell Hill Road.  Pispoure’s material is a blend of originals as well as obscure covers that they have claimed as their own.
