CHERRY VALLEY — The Historic Cherry Valley Businesses invite you to join in the festive cheer at the 33rd Annual Cherry Valley Holiday Weekend, a cherished community tradition that has become a beacon of joy for residents and visitors alike. This event will run December 1st through 3rd, Friday 5pm - 8pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am - 5pm.
Kicking off on Friday, December 1st, this jubilant weekend promises a magical experience with a delightful array of events and activities spread throughout the historic village and town of Cherry Valley. Whether you're a local or a visitor, there's something special for everyone during this celebratory weekend.
Key Highlights of the 33rd Annual Cherry Valley Holiday Weekend:
Tree Lighting Ceremony: Witness the magic as the village comes alive with twinkling lights during the enchanting tree lighting ceremony Friday at 6pm. The Happy Haggs and Father Christmas help continue this heartwarming tradition that marks the official start of the holiday season in Cherry Valley. The tree is decorated and provided by the Village of Cherry Valley.
Live Music: Immerse yourself in the festive tunes that will fill the air, courtesy of talented local musicians. The Big Unity Band will perform Friday night at the Red Shed Ale House and the Cherry Valley Cadette Girl Scouts will host Holiday Karaoke during their Holiday Drink Sale Saturday & Sunday 10am - 3pm. From classic carols to modern holiday favorites, they are sure to add a harmonious touch to the celebration.
Raffles and Prizes: Get ready for a chance to win exciting prizes at the raffles held throughout the weekend. The community spirit shines as local businesses contribute to the festivities with generous giveaways. The Historic Cherry Valley Businesses will host a basket raffle to benefit their activities and the Backpack program. The Catholic Church will also host a raffle during their luncheon Saturday from 11am - 2pm.
Workshops and Activities: Engage in the holiday spirit with hands-on workshops and activities suitable for all ages. From cookie decorating at 25 Main Collective and holiday card decorating at Cherry Valley Artworks to a free Sweater Swap at The Telegraph School, these interactive sessions offer a creative outlet for everyone in your family.
