COBLESKILL - CRCS's Kole Wayman received considerable honors for his performance on the field, including a recent article in the Albany Times Union. The article published by the newspaper, which prints our newspaper, included praise for Wayman's "superlative campaign for the Bulldogs," which earned him a Colonial Council first-team selection. His performance as goalie allowed the team to keep the Class B quarterfinals game against first-seeded Mechanicville close, despite the 1-0 loss.
Wayman thanked James Allen and the Times Union Staff, alongside input from area coaches for the honor. He also thanked CRCS Coaches Mr. Hotaling, Mr. Davis and Mr. West.
"Thank you for all the support from my CRCS teammates and the seniors that I played alongside,” he said.
“I am grateful to be recognized, being from a small school and included with such a talented list of amazing high school soccer players from all over the capital district. Congratulations to my travel team coach Mike Kinnally on being named the Large School Boys Soccer Coach of the Year and all the soccer players that made the all-star list that I play with from FC Dutchmen Premier."
Among the awards earned by Wayman were Section II All-Star 1st Team Colonial Council, Section II Class B Keeper of the Year, and his selection as a member of the All-State Team.
