Andrea Peponakis is an accomplished author, known for writing children’s books. Born and raised in Astoria, Queens and Long Island, NY, Andrea Peponakis also spent three years living in Jefferson, Schoharie County, NY. She discovered a love for writing at an early age while teaching her Greek Yiayia how to read and write in English. Influenced by working as a columnist and journalist for The Mountain Eagle newspaper and becoming a grandma, she embarked on a literary journey with her grandson that has shaped their unique storytelling style.

Retired educator, journalist, and radio talk show host, Andrea’s passion for written and spoken communication has escalated into writing children’s books based on experiences with her grandson. She is fluent in English, Greek and Spanish. Her commitment to celebrating family bonds shines through in each piece, resonating deeply with audiences across all regions.
