SCHOHARIE — The Schoharie Chapter NSDAR was happy to participate in Schoharie Village’s Christmas in Schoharie on December 2, hosted by the Schoharie Fire Department. We opened the doors at Lasell Hall shortly before 2 Pm for children to sign cards for veterans and offer Monticello White Bean Soup as part of Schoharie’s soup stroll. Visitors toured Lasell Hall, a tavern built in 1795 by Johannes Lawyer. The evening ended with a bonfire, hot cocoa or cider, and the community tree lighting  by Schoharie Kiwanis. We have hosted the Kiwanis tree lighting on our lawn for years, and welcome the public to share this event in December 2024. Please contact us if you wish to rent Lasell Hall for your small event by contacting Chris at 518-231-8104 or Kathy at 518-231-2481.
