SCS Seeks New Assistant Principal for Elementary

SCHOHARIE - Schoharie Central School is seeking a new assistant principal for the elementary school after the current one left for Scotia-Glenville Middle School last month.

Marci Tebbano left for Scotia-Glenville Middleburgh on November 3. School board members accepted her resignation at their November 14 meeting.

The district is seeking a new elementary school assistant principal, according to Superintendent David Blanchard.

In other personnel moves, board members:

* Accepted the resignation of Dave Russell as Athletic Director, effective November 27.

* Accepted the resignation of Stephanie Palmatier, part-time teacher aide, effective retroactive to the end of the day on November 10.

* Appointed Lenorah Pierce, full-time teacher aide (bus aide), Salary $21,374.00 per SCEA Contract, six hours/day, additional time as needed, according to school calendar, effective retroactive to October 23.

* Named Rebbecca LaPoint, part-time teacher aide, salary $15.36/hour per SCEA Contract, three hours/day, additional time as needed, according to School Calendar, effective November 15.

* Corrected the appointment of Jade Palmatier, Approve correction of appointment, from: part-time teacher aide, salary $15.36/hour per SCEA Contract, six hours/day, additional time as needed, according to School Calendar, effective 10/20/23 to: part-time teacher aide, salary $15.36/hour per SCEA Contract, three hours/day, additional time as needed, according to School Calendar, effective 10/20/23.

* Corrected the certification language in the appointment of Carley Ryan as Athletic Director appointment from: School Business Leader, to: School Building Leader.

* Added the following to the SCS Substitute List at current sub rates: Heather Estrada - Non-Certified without degree, Vasiliki Crewell - Non-Certified without degree, and Grace Bryant - Non-Certified without degree.

* Accepted the resignation of Anthony Monescalchi as Modified Boys Basketball Coach for the 2023-24 Winter Sports Season in order to accept JV Boys Basketball Coach position.

* Appointed the following coaches, for the 2023-24 Winter Sports season: Anthony Monescalchi, JV Boys Basketball, $3,070, Luis Toro, Modified Boys Basketball, $1,870, and Isabella Santandrea, Varsity Cheerleading, $2,170.

* Approved Memorandums of Agreement between the STA and the Junior High School Student Council and Outdoors Club, per stated terms and conditions.

* Named Jessica DeLaet as junior high school student council advisor at a stipend of $1,160.

* Corrected the appointment of the following Class/Club Advisors: Eric Croote, FROM: Junior High School Intramurals Advisor, Fall: $1,550, Winter: $1,550, Spring: $1,550 TO: Jr./Sr. High School Intramurals Advisor, Fall: $3,100, Winter: $3,100, Spring: $3,100; Martin Messner, FROM: Sr. High School Intramurals Advisor, Fall: $1,550, Winter: $1,550, Spring: $1,550 TO: Jr./Sr. High School Intramurals Advisor, Fall: $3,100, Winter: $3,100, Spring: $3,100; and Danielle Couture, Elementary After School Choir Advisor stipend FROM: $1,550, TO: $3,000.

* Approved a prorated balance for Danielle Couture, as 2022-23 Elementary After School Choir Advisor, stipend of $580.

* Approved Class Size Stipends, according to STA Contract, for the following: Lindsay Peterson, 10th Grade Spanish Teacher, $2,004.12 TOTAL for period of 10/16/23 through 06/30/23, Jamie Davis, 7th Grade Math Teacher, $2,250.24 TOTAL for period of 09/15/23 to 06/30/2023, Danielle Couture, Correction FROM: $10.36 TOTAL, TO: $5.18 TOTAL for period of 09/06/23 through 10/18/23, Angela Jackson, Correction FROM: $5.18 TOTAL, TO: $5.55 TOTAL for period of 09/06/23 through 10/18/23, Jean Schofield, Correction FROM: $10.36 TOTAL, TO: $5.55 TOTAL for period of 09/06/23 through 10/18/23, and Catherine Bikowicz, Correction FROM: $5.18 TOTAL, TO: $5.55 TOTAL for period of 09/06/23 through 10/18/23.

* Approved Additional Period Stipends for 2023-24 School Year, for the following: Therese Kenyon - Cafeteria Supervision/Enrichment Activities - (1.0) $8,000 per STA Contract and Jamie Davis - Additional Math Support Class - (0.5) $4,000 per STA Contract.

* Added seven people to the Capital Region BOCES Teacher Substitute Calling Service List, Approve, at current sub rates, effective November 15.
