MIDDLEBURGH — Something neat is happening in Middleburgh across from the Valley Market grocery store. Several men who worked with longtime auctioneer Tony Preston are bringing back auctions to 4453 State Route 30.

Auction 1 is holding its first auction tomorrow, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. Viewings will be open from 3-6 p.m.

The four partners have extensive experience in the auction field and are offering approximately 300 items in impressive-sized lots, including tools, toys, hunting, fishing, sporting, furniture, memorabilia, and other goods.

The auctions will be every other Saturday at 6 p.m.

The four decided to rent the space after working with Preston, and Preston will keep his store, which is replete with interesting items of his own, next door. He will also continue auctions, with plans to be announced.

For more information or to place a phone bid, call 518-868-1992.

Overall, the plan is to improve access and wares for consumers.

In time, there are hopes for potential machinery and tailgate auctions in Middleburgh. The auction format will also be all auction without consumers.
