On Saturday February 17, 2024, the Gallupville House will host a unique Lincoln Birthday Celebration at The Gallupville House, 913 State Route 443, Gallupville New York starting at 1:00 PM. The celebration will be an Uncle Billy’s Balladeers interactive Theater Program featuring Peter Lindemann as President Abraham Lincoln. The program will start at 1PM when President Lincoln will arrive and greet all. He will then make some remarks we will all share lunch. Period dress is welcome but not required.

After lunch there will be a Q&A period with the President followed by a presentation of Seafaring music by The Iron Jacks  (Civil War Naval Landing Party) and then an audience participation singalong of Civil War period camp music lead by Uncle Billy's Balladeers (lyrics will be provided). Uncle Billy’s Balladeers has previously performed several times at The Gallupville House and the Old Stone Fort Museum.

To reserve your ticket, please RSVP your name and address to gallupvillehouse@gmail.com.  Upon receipt of your payment, a spot will be guaranteed for you upon payment made by Venmo or PayPal (from the Gallupville House website), or cash or check sent to the Gallupville House Association, PO Box 53, Gallupville, NY  12073. Ticket holders will be contacted via email with any notices about a weather display. Please notify those in your party if there is a delay.

Uncle Billy’s Balladeers had their first performance in the historic Gallupville House at the Preservation of Union Festival in 2007. Since that performance, founder Richard Sherman (A.K.A. Percy Leroy) has worked with many other musicians, thespians and historians to make Uncle Billy’s Balladeers a unique interactive experience.  The Balladeers offer an array of programs ranging from theatrical productions of historic events to their most popular program entitled Civil War Camp Music. The Balladeers use words and lyrics to provide the audience with a window into the thinking of our ancestors during the Civil War. They have performed at many local events and historical societies around upstate New York and environs.  Lyrics for all songs will be provided so participants can immerse themselves in the experience of a time that is really not so long ago.

The Gallupville House Association looks forward to seeing all those who purchase tickets on February 17 for their Luncheon and Theater to celebrate Abraham Lincoln with Uncle Billy’s Balladeers.  A group of people sitting on a stage
