HUNTER – Hunter was recognized as one of the nation’s top 100 winter wonderland destinations by the design and lifestyle magazine Architectural Digest. The accolade highlights Hunter’s beautiful landscapes and abundance of winter activities. Hunter ranked #54 nationwide, while Lake Placid, Ellicottville, and Lake George have been ranked #66, #73, and #81 respectively, which makes Hunter the top-ranked winter destination in the state.
Architectural Digest’s comprehensive ranking system considered various factors, showcasing Hunter’s strengths. The area secured an impressive #45 position in Scenic Beauty, highlighting the natural beauty that captivates visitors throughout the winter.
Hunter’s commitment to providing an exceptional winter experience was also recognized, as the area was ranked #25 in Winter Amenities.
From world-class ski resorts to various winter sports and activities, the Town of Hunter offers a comprehensive array of options for seasoned athletes and those seeking a more leisurely winter getaway. Not stopping there, Hunter excelled in luxury short-term accommodations, securing the #25 position.
Local officials are thrilled with the recognition and see it as an opportunity to showcase Hunter’s unique charm and allure.
Hunter Town Supervisor Sean Mahoney expressed his excitement: “I was thrilled to see our town recognized by Architectural Digest as a top winter wonderland in the country.
