Every Monday afternoon starting at 2 p.m., come over to the Mountain Top Library, 6093 Main Street, Tannersville and enjoy games, puzzles, programs, and more.  Share stories, play games, learn about local history and enjoy conversations.  All ages are welcome.  Call 518-589-5707 if you have questions.

Lexington/West Kill UMC Administrative Council will meet Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. in the church hall.

There is a Coffee Klatch the second Tuesday of each month (Feb. 13) at the Hunter Public Library, 7965 Main Street, Hunter from 10 a.m. to noon with light refreshments, coffee and tea.  

The Town of Lexington Fire/Rescue Company Ladies Auxiliary does not meet in the month of February.

Come and enjoy a bowl of soup and a sandwich free of charge at the Soup and Fellowship Kitchen held the second and fourth Tuesdays (Tuesday, Feb. 13 and Thursday, Feb. 27) of the month at the Kaaterskill UMC, 5942 Main Street, Tannersville in the Blue Room from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  All welcomed.

On Thursday, Feb. 15 at the Jewett Senior Nutrition Site, there will be a program “Nutrition Education” with Nicole Gehman, MS, RD, CD-N, sponsored by Greene County Department of Human Services.  Session begins a noon.  Come and learn about healthy nutrition habits, Feel free to ask questions and recipe and tasting to follow.  If you would like lunch that day at the site, please call at least one day in advance to reserve, 518-263-4392.

The next Potluck Dinner Church will be held on Friday, Feb. 16 at the Lexington/West Kill UMC in Lexington.

Belated happy birthday to Pastor Amy Royal on Jan. 24.

Jan. 24 was also George Slauson's birthday.

Robin Potter is wished a happy birthday on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Sunday, Jan. 28 is Carl Simpfenderfer’s birthday.

Ariana Creech’s birthday is Monday, Jan. 29.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Shirley Van Valkenburgh on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

Rose Williams celebrates her birthday on Friday, Feb. 2.

The Kaaterskill UMC Food Pantry, behind the Tannersville Firehouse, at the Tannersville Village Hall, One Park Lane, Tannersville is open on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. weather permitting.  The third Saturday of the month from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. is for delivery to folks who do not have transportation.  Call 518-589-5787 if you need delivery, contingent on volunteer availability.  If you would like to help Kaaterskill UMC Food Pantry, you can also drop food off at Brave the Flames Restaurant, when open, and Tannersville Village Hall during the week.

The Greene County Department of Human Services Senior Nutrition Program menu for the week of Jan. 29 – Feb. 2 is as follows:  Monday—Stuffed cabbage, green beans, white rice, applesauce; Tuesday—Tortellini, meatball, Italian mixed vegetables, rice pudding with raisins; Wednesday—Turkey burger with peppers and onions, California vegetable medley, O’Brien Potatoes, mandarin oranges; Thursday—BBQ pulled pork, carrots, coleslaw, baked beans, fresh fruit; Friday—Fish Florentine, mixed vegetables, rice pilaf, fresh fruit.  The menu will be the meal that is delivered to all Greene County homebound meal clients.  If you have food allergy, please notify the department.  Allergen information is available for prepared food items.  All persons over the age of 60 can receive a meal.  Suggested donation for each meal is $4.  Those wishing to receive a meal are required to call the respective location by noon a day in advance.  The number to call for the Senior Service Center at the Jewett Municipal Building, Route 23C, Jewett is 518-263-4392.
