MOUNTAINTOP — The mountaintop may finally get some snow. Projections suggest that the amounts may vary, with higher accumulations expected south of Albany and somewhat lighter amounts to the north.
Meteorologists are closely monitoring the evolving weather patterns, emphasizing that it's still too early to provide precise details about the expected snowfall. However, the consensus indicates the storm is poised to bring much-anticipated snow.
According to the Weather Channel, snowfall totals have decreased from 5-8 inches to 3-5 inches from Saturday night into Sunday. However, these projections are subject to change as meteorologists refine their forecasts based on the storm's evolution. Residents and visitors should stay informed about weather updates and prepare for potentially challenging travel conditions.
Skiers and snowboarders have had a rough start to the 2023/24 season, with the area getting pummeled by multiple heavy rainstorms. Hunter Mountain has persevered, pushing through the warm weather and doing everything possible to stay open.
