Town of Hunter Actively Seeking EMTs

HUNTER — To enhance emergency medical services and bolster its dedicated team, the Town of Hunter is actively recruiting credentialed Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and individuals interested in pursuing EMT certification. The Town offers competitive compensation for full-time and part-time positions, creating an exciting opportunity for skilled professionals and those looking to embark on a career in emergency medical services.

Employment and Sponsoring Guidelines

According to the Town's website, they have established specific guidelines for potential candidates interested in joining its emergency medical team:

Age and License Requirements: Applicants must be 21 or older and possess a valid driver's license.

CPR Certification: A valid CPR card is a prerequisite for all applicants.

Driver Training: On-site driver training is available, and prior experience is not required.

Opportunity for Non-Credentialed Applicants: Individuals without EMT credentials can be hired as drivers and enrolled in the first available EMT class. The Town will provide a list of future classes, and the Town of Hunter will sponsor the applicant for the course.

Minimum Work Commitment: Employees must work at least two 12-hour shifts per month, with additional shifts available.

Probationary Period: All new hires will undergo a six-month probationary period to ensure seamless integration into the team.

EMT Sponsorship: For those seeking EMT sponsorship, candidates must remain employed and compliant with the conditions of employment for at least one year.
