Walton – Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced that a Hamden woman and a Walton male were each arrested on charges stemming from a Traffic Stop on State Hwy 10 in the Town of Walton
On Friday, December 5th, 2024, Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies observed a vehicle to be traveling above the posted 55 mph speed limit while on State Hwy in the Town of Walton.
Upon conducting a traffic stop Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as 34-year-old Honesty Muller of Hamden NY. During the course of the traffic stop it was learned that Muller’s driving privileges in the State of New York had been suspended for failure to pay driver responsibility assessment.
Deputies also identified a passenger in the vehicle to be 28-year old Adam Robinson of Walton, NY. Deputies were advised that Honesty had an active Order of Protection in place prohibiting Robinson from having any contact with Honesty.
Deputies subsequently arrested and charged Muller with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle an Unclassified Misdemeanor of the New York State vehicle and traffic law and Unlicensed Operator and Speed over 55mph both violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. Deputies subsequently arrested and charged Robinson with Criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A Misdemeanor of the New York State Penal Law.
Muller was issued traffic tickets, and an appearance ticket. Robinson was issued an appearance ticket, all returnable at a later date to the Walton Town Court.
