Description: Proof, the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Drama winner by David Auburn, follows a young woman, Catherine, grappling with the legacy of her father -- a legendary mentally ill mathematician -- and her own fears of inheriting his condition. When her overbearing sister comes for the funeral, and her father's former student discovers a groundbreaking proof among her late father's papers, a mystery unfolds with Catherine at the. center. Set on the back porch of an old house near the University of Chicago, Proof explores themes of familial loyalty, love, hubris and who gets to be the author of their own truth.
