A very Happy and Sacred Easter to all. May it be filled with family, friends and happiness and JOY.

We hope you get to take part either by yourself or with the young members of your family in the Easter Egg Hunts and celebrations. It is a time to enjoy. More on this next week.

Neither rain nor snow nor dark of night kept family and friends from their mission to help Al and Anita Creazzo celebrate their 60th Anniversary on Saturday, March 23 at Brandywine. Those helping the Creazzos to celebrate were sons Stephen and wife Jeannine and Vincent and wife Jennifer, Debbie and Steve Baker, Pat and Tony Bifolco and Jeff and Lana Breigle and daughters Laura and Adrienna. What a wonderful way to celebrate a 60th anniversary. Jerry Buckley, Al’s co-worker and minister, was there to solemnize the renewal of the Creazzo’s wedding vows. Apologies for the delay in wishing the Creazzos a very Happy 60th Anniversary.

Michele Brainard, NancyKizyma, Marianne Krauss, Cathy Martino, Ginny Gurley and Elliott Brainard and Bob Gurley, as Legionnaires and members of the American Legion Auxiliary, took part in the preparations for the Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, Virgil E. Deyo Unit 1327, at Young’s Ace Hardware. This included a day of shopping and a day of stuffing the eggs, sampling the candy was a perk of the job.

Had a brief but very welcome and happy conversation with Chris Dwon, fellow columnist of Lexington/West Kill. Chris’ oldest granddaughter will soon be a sixteen year old and her other two granddaughters are pre-K ages. Her sons and daughters-in-law are doing well and enjoying their daughters’ accomplishments, which are many. Her son Paul is a member of DEP police force in the canine unit with Ajax as a companion on his rounds. More on Chris’ news when I have the go-ahead. Congratulations again Chris and all the best. How is that for a teaser?

St. Philip Neri, RC, Grand Gorge, NY, will be having a baby shower for needy mothers on Mother’s Day. This is long distance type shower and baby items can be dropped off at St. Philip’s at any time prior to Mother’s Day, the earlier the better, which is on Sunday May 12. The usual items are needed with disposable diapers and glass baby bottles and baby skin care items are at the top of the list, as always. Also handmade items: receiving (swaddling) blankets, afghans, small caps or hats, bibs, sweaters, are always appreciated and onesies, one piece sleepers, and powdered formula can always be of use. You can call 518-299-3219 for more information. Thank you.

In keeping with ongoing veterans’ programs, Pat Minew and Ginny Gurley took advantage of the material sale at Joann’s and bought supplies for the VA Christmas Celebration for 2024. Yardage for the Christmas gift bags was bought and at a very big savings. The material was at the behest of the Tom and Betty Dignam family. Thank you Ronnie Dignam. We are still enjoying Betty’s great idea and work, along with Tom’s support.

Did you stay home Saturday? We know one person went off the road trying to brave the inclement weather and driving conditions. They were able to get themselves with out no damage to property nor self. Beautiful day Sunday and to sit back and enjoy March Madness. Seems like the games are a little one sided with the high seeded teams taking the win but the games have just started so stay tuned.

Ronnie Cline continues on the road to recovery. And we send him get well wishes and thank him for his service.

Well, the great white hunter continues ridding his area of the varmints. The scoreboard now reads GWH 5 (1 gray and 4 red squirrels) Pests 0. He does not make house calls. Sorry.

Happy Birthday to Mary McGlynn on March 30. Haley Benson is wished a very Happy Birthday on March 31. Happy Birthday to Randy Briggs on April 1. Special lady Mary Barry is sent Happy Birthday wishes on April 2. Mary is the mother of our Debbie Baker. Also on April 2 we wish Kerrianne Aurigema Dibble a very Happy Birthday. And to second homeowner John Zacco, we wish him Happy Birthday on April 4. Belated but very Happy Anniversary wishes to Anita and Al Creazzo on March 21. Sorry for the delay and oversight.
