HUNTER - Hunter Day Camp is gearing up for another summer, and registration for campers opens on April 26th from 4-6 pm at Dolan's Lake Pavilion. Parents can sign up children aged 4 to 10 for six weeks of adventure, learning, and friendship.
During the registration event, parents will have the opportunity to complete all necessary paperwork conveniently on-site. The registration fee of $200 for the entire six-week program will be collected on the registration day, and cash or check will be accepted as payment.
According to Camp Director Paola Ksieski, this is their second year post-covid. Elizabeth Boyle is the Assistant Director, whom Ksieski acknowledged is an "incredible asset to the camp."
Ksieski said, "We're excited. Last year was our first year back, and this year, we already have the whole six weeks planned."
For those unable to attend the April 26th registration day, another opportunity will be available on May 10th.
Campers can look forward to a trip to Great Escape, a ride on Hunter Mountain's Skyride, a 3D nature journaling workshop, and multiple art workshops, including some with Rebecca Segal's Boundless Arts.
Ksieski thanked Stewarts for a grant they secured last year, a trip to "Make-Your-Own-Sundae," and Fromer Market Gardens, which visited the camp last year to present a seedling workshop.
In addition to registering campers, Hunter Day Camp is also looking for individuals to work as camp counselors. Those interested can submit their applications and meet with camp staff during the registration event.
"We're looking for up to six counselors," said Ksieski. I'd like to meet them in person to see if they're a good fit."
Contact Ksieski at pksieski@villageofhunterny.com for more information or to inquire about counselor opportunities.
