Sons of the American Revolution, Schoharie Leatherstocking Chapter held their monthly meeting on April 20th at the Old Stone Fort. As part of the meeting Yasmin Issa who won the county essay contest, has now won the state title. Her next step if excepted will be National Honors. Yasmin is a sophomore in high school. Should she not make it to the nationals this year, she still has two more years to enter. Students must get the information correct and be able to say the information in 2000 words or less. Yasmin did it with 1998 works. It was very impressive. Pictured from left to right are State President David Powell, Schoharie Leatherstocking Chapter Secretary, the Hon. Richard Smith, Yasmin, and Chapter President Joseph Sicluna.
