Tompkins Man Arrested for Petit Larceny

Tompkins – Today, Sheriff Craig DuMond announced the arrest of a Tompkins man on petit larceny charges. 

On Monday morning, April 8th, 2024, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to petit larceny complaint in the Town of Tompkins. It was reported to Deputies that a sign belonging to a local business had been stolen. 

During the course of the investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies identified the suspect as Dakota K. Allen, age 27, of Tompkins, NY. Upon conclusion of the investigation, it was discovered that Allen had stolen property belonging to another person.  

On April 9th, 2024, Deputies subsequently arrested and charged Allen with one count of Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor.     

Allen was subsequently issued an appearance ticket, returnable to appear in the Town of Tompkins Court at a later date.
