Michigan Man Facing Charges in Kortright

KORTRIGHT — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced that a Homer, Michigan man is facing the charges of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree, following an Order of Protection Violation, which occurred in the Town of Kortright. 

On May 25th, 2024, Deputies responded to a reported domestic dispute in the Town of Kortright. Upon the completion of the investigation, Deputies arrested charged 25-year-old Justin Robinson with one count of Criminal Trespass and one count of Harassment. Robinson was arraigned through the Delaware County Centralized Arraignment Court, where an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim of the domestic dispute.

On June 3rd, 2024, Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies were advised that Justin Robinson had returned to the residence of the victim. Upon arrival at the residence, Deputies located Justin within the residence of the protected party of the order of protection. It was reported by the victim that she had been harassed by Robinson, after he had violated the order of protection by returning to her residence. 

Upon the conclusion of their investigation, Deputies subsequently arrested and charged Robinson with one count of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree a class E Felony and one count of Harassment in the Second Degree a Violation. Robinson was held at the Delaware County Correctional Facility to await centralized arraignment.
