HURLEY, New York - After a successful 20-episode first season, the popular regional podcast Valley Girls returns on August 22, 2024. The bi-weekly podcast welcomes the addition of two new regular segments, one focused on the Capital District and another centered on the Rivertowns of Westchester. The season 2 preview episode is available now.
“We learned so much and connected with such amazing people in our first season, like Kingston-based pastry chef Anrika Martin, Alexa Tumbarello from the Catskill Center, Erin Riley from Scenic Hudson, and fellow podcaster Mat Zucker of Cidiot®,” said Jenny Leifer, Co-Host and Lead Producer of Valley Girls. “We can’t wait to dive back into season two and bring our listeners conversations with Craig in the Catskills, Hudsy, and a very special Halloween episode about the NY State Haunted History Trail featuring Brian J. Cano of Travel Channel’s Paranormal Caught on Camera.”
The season 2 premiere episode is sponsored by ConnectHV. “It was a privilege - and a lot of fun - to be featured in episode 16 of the Valley Girls’ first season,” said Jordan Koschei, Founder of Connect HV. “ConnectHV strives to cultivate conditions that foster creative serendipity for creatives and professionals throughout the region. The Valley Girls’ focus on telling the Hudson Valley’s stories by talking to entrepreneurs, artists, writers, historians, environmentalists, and others perfectly complements what ConnectHV is working to do.”
Valley Girls Media is also launching their first spin-off, Literary Hudson Valley, a YouTube series in which Valley Girls co-host and editorial director Jennifer Santiago will talk to writers, readers, booksellers, and literature lovers from all around the region.
