Business Leaders Support Summer Annual “Music & More Series” from the JHS

Written By The Mountain Eagle on 9/15/24 | 9/15/24

JEFFERSON - The 2024 Music & More Series presented by the Jefferson Historical Society (JHS) was  a huge success, thanks in large part to support from local businesses. Concerts and  programs staged throughout the summer, ending September 21st with square dancing  with Homespun Occasions, are performed in the Historic (Registered) Maple Museum  and have brought a variety of cultural presentations and joy to Jeffersonians, visitors,  and people from surrounding areas. The M&M series will continue throughout the fall  and winter with lectures and presentations held in Judd Hall, JHS headquarters on  Main Street.

This year JHS has enriched its programming and added more events to the calendar,  which required extra support. While part of the series was funded by the CREATE  Council of the Arts, JHS also reached out to local businesses to become sponsors  and they responded with great generosity!

So, with thunderous applause, JHS recognizes and expresses its gratitude to the  following businesses for supporting the Society and arts in the community:

Apple Barrel

Bank of Richmondville

Boyle Excavating

Catnap Books

CORE Values

Eklund Family Farm Machinery

Fenimore Asset Management

MTC Cable

Race Printing

The Robert & Addie Thompson Trust

Scoville Meno Honda

Sterling Insurance Co. Foundation

Two Scoops Catskill Ice Creamery

Wayne Bank

Wind in the Willows Overnight Accommodations

A full listing of all upcoming M&M Series events can be found on the JHS website:  thejeffersonhistoricalsociety.org

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants  Program, a program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the  Governor and the NYS Legislature and administered in Schoharie County by CREATE  Council on the Arts

Heard World’s much anticipated performance in the Maple Museum earned raves all around.
