Charlotte Valley And SK Girls Will Square of in Chic Walshe Title Game

DELAWARE LEAGUE – Stamford/Jefferson defeated Hunter-TAnnersville 3-1 last Thursday to pick up a league win on the road. Abby Villanueva struck for a pair of goals and Hannah Kirby scored one goal and added an assist in the win. Aubrey Merwin also put up an assist. For H-T, Lizet Molina Rodriguez scored the long goal off an assist from Alyssa Trani.

Charlotte Valley defeated Gilboa-Roxbury 7-4 in league action last Thursday. The Wildcats came back from a 4-0 deficit to tie it 4-4 and then goal on for the win. Natalie Amadon scored five goals and assisted on a sixth to lead the comeback. Hayden Marino chimed in two more goals, while teammates Brinlee Wright and Jordan Odell had two assists each and Ella Gerster added one assist. For GCR, Angie D'Antoni scored a pair of goals with Brooke DeMaio adding one goal and one assist. Kelly Killenberg also scored and Olivia Ross added an assist.

In action on Friday, Walton/Downsville got by Stamford/Jefferson 1-0. Calla Conklin scored the lone goal in overtime to clinch it for W/D after the two teams played to a 0-0 tie in regulation.

Windham defeated non-league Germantown 1-0 to advance from the opening round of the annual Hunter-Tannesville Booster Club Tournament. Mckenzie Schoonmaker scored the lone goal off an assist from Catherine Coe.

They will be paired with Gilboa-Roxbury in the championship game this Saturday. GCR defeated host H-T 1-0 to advance. Angie D'Antoni scored off an assist from Chamille Sass. 

Delhi shutout Margaretville 5-0 to win the annual Cohen Classic at Margaretville.  Leah Dennis led the way with two goals and teammates Tyler Abts, Kelsea Small and Luciane Smith added single goal.s Eliza Cook and Makenna Naples added assists.

The SK/Andes girls advanced from the opening round of the annual Chic Walshe Tournament at Davenport with a 6-0 win over Worcester.  Nora Trimbell had two goals, while Jaylee Kelly added one goal and one assist, Madysen Reeves, Annalyse Haynes and Zariah Fortune also scored in the win, while Lexi Hendrickson chimed in two assists.

Host Charlotte Valley advanced to the championship round with a 12-1 victory over Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton in their opener. Natalie Amadon scored two goals and assisted on four others to lead the Lady Wildcats.  Ella Gerster and Jordan Odell also added a pair of goals to the win, while Brinlee Wright and Alexa Seeley had one goal and one assist. Laila Wheeler also had an assist in the win. For GMU, Alyssa Sorochinsky scored the lone goal.

In a non-league game at Germantown on Tuesday, the S/J girls came home with a 4-2 win.  Abby Villanueva and Emma Smith each scored one goal and assisted on another, while Emily Eklund and Hannah Kirby also netted single goals.

The Charlotte Valley girls defeated Walton/Downsville 5-1 on Tuesday. Natalie Amadon scored a hat trick to lead the charge and assisted on a fourth. Jordan Odell had one goal and one assists and Hayden Marino had a goal. Claire Clark put up an assist.  For W/D, Kahrin Vesterfelt provided the assist ti Kailee Elmore.
