Community Dinner Returns to Delhi - Fifth Annual Delhi Dish-to-Pass to be held on Courthouse Square

Written By The Mountain Eagle on 9/15/24 | 9/15/24

DELHI – Delhi’s community harvest dinner, known as “The Delhi Dish-to-Pass,” will mark its fifth year on Sunday, September 15 from 4 -7 p.m. on Courthouse Square in Delhi. The inaugural event in 2019 drew over 90 people from the community for a convivial evening of food and music. With the year 2020 as the only exception, the gathering has become an annual September tradition.

The Stoddard Hollow String Band has been a mainstay and will again provide lively musical entertainment.

“Especially in a year fraught with election cycle anxiety, it is important to step back and remember what a blessing our neighbors are. This yearly tradition is an opportunity to do that”, said Ian Lamont, one of the founders of the dinner and a Delhi Village resident. “No program, no agenda, no fundraising. Just a meal with your neighbors.”

The Delhi Dish-to-Pass is free and open to all. One long table will be set up on the Courthouse Square. Attendees are encouraged to bring food to share and their own table settings. If there is rain, the event will move to the fellowship hall of the United Ministry Church on the Square.

Updates and more information can be found on The Delhi Dish to Pass Facebook page.
