WALTON — Sheriff Craig DuMond announced the arrest of a Walton man and woman on drug/narcotics charges and motor vehicle charges.
On September 16, 2024, Sheriff’s Deputies were on patrol in the Town of Walton and conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as 37 yr old Aaron Howard of Walton, NY. Upon conducting a NYS DMV license check on the driver of the vehicle Deputies were advised that Aarons driving privileges in New York State had been revoked. Aaron was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle in the 2nd Degree, an unclassified misdemeanor and was issued traffic summonses for Unlicensed Operator, No/Inadequate Plate Lamps and Obstructed License plate all violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
During the course of the investigation Deputies also arrested the passenger of the vehicle, 36 yr old Courtney Condon of Walton, on 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a control substance a Class A Misdemeanor of the New York State Penal Law.
Howard and Condon were subsequently released on appearance tickets and directed to appear in the Town of Walton court at a later date to answer the charges.
