Tena Saw: Helmets and other Works Opening Sunday 2 to 4pm

Written By The Mountain Eagle on 9/26/24 | 9/26/24

STAMFORD — Please join us for an opening of new ceramics and other works by Brooklyn and Grand Gorge-based artist Tena Saw on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at our upstate location OSMOS Station, 20 Railroad Avenue, Stamford. There will be an Artist’s Talk Sunday, October 6.

Tena Saw's ceramics are influenced by ancient forms, rock formations, Japanese traditions, Brutalist architecture, modern art, and simple field pottery from around the world. While earlier works are presented on wooden tables, the new sculptures incorporate custom pedestals and plinths.

These works will be shown together with abstract large-scale paintings, smaller experimental works on unstretched canvas, and abstract, material-driven spray paint drawings.
