Arrest in Delhi for Alleged Suspended Registration, License

DELHI — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced the arrest of a Barton, NY resident for operating a motor vehicle driving with a suspended New York State Vehicle Registration and New York State Driver’s License.

On Saturday, February 1st, 2025 Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle traveling on Main Street in the Village of Delhi, when Deputies received an alert from their License Plate Reader with regards to a passing vehicles registration being suspended.

Upon conducting a traffic stop, Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as 57-year-old Donald Hall of Barton, NY.  An investigation reviled the registration of the vehicle that Hall was operating was suspended for insurance not in effect and additionally, a check of Donalds’s driver’s license revealed that his driving privileges were suspended in the State of New York for No insurance in effect. 

Deputies subsequently arrested Donald and issued him traffic summonses for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Operating a Motor Vehicle while registration is suspended, a Unclassified Misdemeanor, as well as Operating a Motor Vehicle with no Insurance, a violation of the New York State vehicle and traffic law. Donald was released on traffic summonses and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Delhi Court at a later date to answer the charges.
