Bloomville Resident Arrested for Alleged DWI

DELHI — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced the arrest of a Bloomville resident for driving while intoxicated.

On February 7th, 2025, Sheriff’s Deputies while on patrol in the Village of Delhi, observed a vehicle traveling on Main St. fail to maintain in its designated lane of travel and crossed over the solid double yellow line. 

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as, 61-year-old Donald Pickett of Bloomville, New York. 

Upon completion of the investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested and charged Donald Pickett with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with a .08% or more of Alcohol, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a .18% or more of Alcohol, all misdemeanors, as well as Failure to Keep Right, Obstructed Plate, and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, all violations in the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Upon completion of arrest processing, Pickett was released on traffic summonses and is to appear in the Village of Delhi Court at a later date.
