Written By The Mountain Eagle on 2/6/25 | 2/6/25

Hamden — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced the arrest of a Hamden resident on drug charges.
On November 16th, 2024, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 10 in the Town of Hamden for a vehicle operating with an obstructed license plate and for crossing over the double yellow line.  During the traffic stop it was determined the operator was 35-year-old Natasha M. Reed of Hamden, New York.  Deputies discovered that Reed’s New York State Drivers License was suspended. Deputies say a vehicle search at the scene of the traffic stop revealed the presence of drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, and a quantity of Cocaine was secured from Reeds person.
Reed was later arrested on a Criminal Summons charging her with failure to keep right, obstructed license plate, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd degree, unlicensed operator, failure to notify DMV of an address change, and criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th degree. Reed was later released on the Criminal Summons and is scheduled to appear at the Town of Hamden Court at a later date to answer the charge.
