SCHOHARIE — The Fox Creek ice is back, thanks to volunteers. The public is welcome to play ice hockey, skate, or just have a good time. Our own Bob Vedder sent us this photo of the ice in peak position due to the recent bitter cold.
Schoharie Deputy Supervisor Floyd Guernsey continued his tradition of setting up the rink for public use. The rink and pavilion are available, including picnic tables, a portable toilet, and a fire pit. The beautiful fire pit includes firewood for public use to light and warm.
The wonderful winter activity is made available through the Schoharie Promotional Association, the Village of Schoharie, and volunteers. The Promotional Association is hoping with the continued cold weather this winter that many residents of the area will take advantage of this great winter activity.
