Mini Tourney To Determine Who Goes To Delaware League Championship

DELAWARE LEAGUE – Wednesday's opening round of the Delaware League mini tournament would decide who travels to SUNY Delhi next Thursday, Feb. 20 for the championship game. The girls game is set to tip off at 5:30. In between the girls and boys championship games, Delaware League Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced and the Beck Scholarship award winners will be announced.

Hunter-Tannersville defeated non-league Sharon Springs 45-28 last Saturday. Julia Legg scored the game high of 15 points for H-T and Lily Constable chimed in another 8 points. Saleema Poladion had a good night on the boards, pulling down 12 rebounds. 

Edmeston/Morris defeated Gilboa/Roxbury 57-16 in non-league action last Friday. Mikayla Wright led GCR with nine points.

South Kortright/Andes defeated Margaretville 65-26 last Wednesday. Addy Eckert led the way with 31 points, 13 rebounds, five steals, four assists and two blocked shots, while teammate Caitlyn Deysenroth added 22 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots. McKenzie Hubbell scored 10 points to lead MCS and teammate Alyssa Tucker scored five points and pulled down five rebounds.

Top-seeded South Kortright hosted fourth seed Hunter-Tannersville and second-seeded Stamford/Jefferson hosted third seeded Charlotte Valley after press time last Wednesday. The  winners will advance to the championship game at SUNY Delhi at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 20.

Varsity losers will have a round two game on today, Feb. 14 hosted by the lowest seeded team.
