ROXBURY — The Roxbury Arts Group announces an open call for participation in an upcoming exhibition, ‘Some Bodies.’ Submissions are due by no later than 4pm on March 22, 2025 and the show will run from mid/late May to mid July this year.
‘Some Bodies’ is an exploration of intimacy and identity through depictions of the human figure. Submitted works will seek to answer questions that are pertinent to today’s society — What does it mean to be human? How do we connect and find community with other people, emotionally and physically? What does it mean to be perceived, with or without objectification? And what makes a body ‘somebody’?
This open call will have a selection committee and is open to a diverse range of art forms, such as painting, photography, textile work, ceramic, video, and sound art. Submissions are due by March 22 and the show will run from mid/late May to mid July. The submission form is available at roxburyartsgroup.org/open-calls. A fee of $25 is required for a submission of up to three works per application. Emerging artists are encouraged to apply and their fees will be waived. All artists are expected to pay for their own shipping, if applicable. A Jotform account is required to apply.
Our exhibition programs are generously supported by Roxbury Wine & Spirits. All programs offered by the Roxbury Arts Group are supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the NYS Legislature, the A.
