STAMFORD – Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced that a South Kortright man is facing the charge of Harassment in the second degree.
On Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a Harassment complaint in the Town of Stamford. Upon Sheriff's Deputies completing their investigation, it was alleged that 41-year-old Chrsitopher Porter of Stamford New York, had engaged in a course of conduct, which alarmed or annoyed another person, which served no legitimate purpose. Sheriff Deputies submitted for a criminal summons to be issued by the Stamford Town Court.
On February 16th, 2025, Sheriff’s Deputies received a Criminal Summons issued by the Town of Stamford Court.
On February 17th, 2025, Deputies arrested Porter on the Criminal Summons, charging him with one count of Harassment in the second degree, a violation.
Porter was released on the Criminal Summons and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Stamford Court at a later date to answer the said charge.
