WATERVILLE, MAINE — The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has named senior center Logan Thayne (Hoosick Falls, NY) the NAC Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week, marking her fifth Player of the Week honor this season.
Thayne anchored Cobleskill’s 83-46 road win at Lesley University with a dominant double-double, posting 22 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks, and an assist. She shot an efficient 50 percent from the field (8-16) and was perfect from the free-throw line (3-for-3). Controlling the glass on both ends, she pulled down a game-high five offensive rebounds and seven defensive boards while protecting the rim with two blocks.
Continuing her standout season, Thayne is tied for the most double-doubles in NCAA Division III with 20 and ranks among the NAC's best in multiple categories. She is second in the league in scoring (18.5 PPG) and rebounding (12.6 RPG), first in blocks (1.7 BPG), and leads the conference in field goal percentage (45.5%) and free throw percentage (87.6%).
The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Friday, February 14, when they host VTSU-Johnson at 5:30 p.m. in a NAC divisional matchup at the Iorio Gymnasium.
