ALBANY — Assemblyman Chris Tague (R–Schoharie) has been named Assembly Member of the Year by the New York State Young Republicans (NYSYR), recognizing his leadership, dedication to Republican values, and an unmatched dedication to supporting the Young Republicans and being a mentor and role model to many young people across the state.
“I started out as a Young Republican and never forgot where I came from,” said Assemblyman Tague. “This honor is a credit to every volunteer knocking doors, making calls, and fighting for common‑sense leadership in New York. I’m proud to be in that fight with you,” he continued.
Bobby Walker, Chairman of the New York State Young Republicans, praised Tague’s record and connection to the grassroots movement.
“America’s Assemblyman Chris Tague has been a supporter of Young Republicans every step of the way in my decade of involvement with our organization. In every avenue possible he shows up for us and we will continue to proudly show up for him. His dedication to helping advance Young Republicans is why it was a great honor to present him with this year's Wheeler Milmoe Assemblymember of the Year Award at our Teddy Roosevelt Dinner.”
The award was presented at the NYSYR Teddy Roosevelt Dinner held August 16 in Albany, NY. Tague, a former dairy farmer and heavy highway construction manager, currently represents the 102nd district in the New York State Assembly.
