Written By The Mountain Eagle on 11/6/25 | 11/6/25

SCHOHARIE – An updated 2025 directory of food pantries serving residents across Schoharie County has been compiled, detailing locations, hours, and contact information for those in need of assistance.

The list includes numerous community- and faith-based organizations. In the Cobleskill area, services are available at the First Baptist Church, Cobleskill United Methodist Church, and SCCAP on East Main Street. Richmondville residents can access pantries at Catholic Charities on State Route 7 and Paul's Lutheran Church on Main Street.

Resources in Middleburgh are available at St. Mark's Lutheran Church on Main Street and the Middleburgh Ecumenical Food Pantry on River Street. The directory also lists services in Breakabeen at the P. Keith Nelson Food Pantry; Central Bridge at Bethany Lutheran Church; Esperance at the Esperance Methodist Church; Gallupville at Sarah's Pantry; and Jefferson at the Jefferson Food Pantry.

Additional pantries are located in North Blenheim at the United Methodist Church; in Schoharie at the Schoharie Community Food Pantry; in Sloansville at the Schoharie Valley Gospel Church; and in Sharon Springs at the United Methodist Church.

Hours and service days vary significantly by location. Many pantries operate on specific days of the month or by appointment only. Residents seeking assistance are strongly advised to call the specific pantry they intend to visit in advance to confirm hours, availability, and any residential requirements.
