Hard Fought Loss for SCS

Schoharie’s Skylar Giffin and Johannah Gardner of Mekeel Christian Academy reach for a loose ball. After a roll on the floor, Giffin had possession for the Storm. On Friday, November 28th, in the Turkey Tournament first round of play, Schoharie girls lost to Afton High 44-33, and Cherry Valley-Springfield beat Mekeel Christian Academy 42-26. On Saturday the 29th, Schoharie Storm lost to the Mekeel Christian Academy Lions 50-34 in a hard played game with the lead passed back and forth between the opposing teams throughout the first three quarters. Then the Cherry Valley-Springfield Patriots went on to defeat the Afton Crimson Knights 43-32 in the championship game of the Schoharie Tournament
