COBLESKILL — The Joshua Project of Schoharie County celebrated the season of giving with its annual Adopt a Family program, delivering gifts and holiday meals to 59 families across the county.
This year’s effort was made possible through the dedication of volunteers, community partners, and the support of the Schoharie Masons. Volunteers worked tirelessly to prepare packages filled with presents, while the Schoharie Masons generously provided ham dinners for each family. Drivers then ensured that every delivery reached its destination, spreading joy and comfort throughout the community.
The Joshua Project’s newly established building on Route 145, near Aidone Eye Care, served as the central hub for organizing and preparing the event. The facility proved invaluable in coordinating the large-scale effort, allowing volunteers to work efficiently and effectively.
"The Adopt a Family program embodies the spirit of community and compassion that defines Schoharie County," said a Joshua Project spokesperson. "We are grateful to our volunteers, the Schoharie Masons, and everyone who contributed to making this holiday brighter for local families."
The Joshua Project continues to serve Schoharie County through initiatives that provide support, resources, and hope to families in need.
