In this new poll, we are asking readers to weigh in on whether they support Town of Schoharie Supervisor Gene Milone's proposal to create a County Administrator to oversee daily activities within local government. The proposal was introduced at the county board's organizational meeting and is expected to be discussed in more detail at Friday's meeting.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This must be an elected position. The board must not be allowed to just appoint someone. It will be a political gift.
Yes, we need an administrator. And it should NOT be Mr. Cherry. There should be rigorous qualification requirements, i.e. an MBA with at least 6 years of experience in a top-level supervisory position within a municipal govrrnment.
